AAPC Medical Coding Specialist

80 Hours

Medical billing and coding is one of the fastest-growing allied health occupations.  This program is designed as an all-inclusive class which will incorporate anatomy and physiology, ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, HCPCS coding, as well as the correct billing of different insurance plans.  this course will also incorporate knowledge of HIPPA-mandated code sets and guidelines and an introduction to the Medisoft patient billing and coding software.  And, at the completion of training, you'll test to become nationally certified through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

Total Cost: $1,399


Textbooks, AAPC membership, and the certification exam fee are included in the tuition.  Students are required to complete 60 hours on-site and an additional 20 hours of independent study.
