Electronic Health Records Specialist

345 Hours

Get ahead of the curve in this rapidly expanding health information technology career field!  Participants will learn to effectively utilize electronic health records systems in community and institutional settings.  This intensive program is designed to prepare students to work with Health Information Management, abstraction, coding, HIPPA compliance, and more.  Hands-on experience in a local health care setting is required for completion of training and will be scheduled by program staff.  Graduates are prepared for Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS) national certification exam!

At the completion of training, you'll test to become nationally certified through the National Association.

Please note: Textbooks and uniforms are required.  Immunizations, drug screening, and a favorable criminal background check are required for entry into the program.  State examination fees are not included in the course price.  Students must meet with a career training counselor prior to enrolling in training.  Clinical hours may be scheduled during daytime, evening, or weekend hours.
