Delaware Adult Education's Adult Education College

Transition Information Sessions

(Available for Polytech Adult Education 2010 graduates

and GED recipients.)

This is a program to help the student prepare for college success.  The program will include help in the following areas:   the application process, financial aid process, career exploration, math skills, writing and grammar skills, computer skills, etc. 

Information Sessions:                          August 5           9 a.m.

                                             August 12     11:30 a.m.

                                           August 16      6:30 p.m.

                                                           August 26          9 a.m.

                                                           August 30          5 p.m.   

Registration not required.  Attend the session most convenient.   

             

NEW Educational Pathway for Practical Nursing Students!

The LPN program has an exciting update. A new educational pathway, from LPN to BSN has been formalized with Wesley College.  This agreement provides for our LPN students to receive college credits for some of the nursing courses they take at POLYTECH.  This will give them advanced standing, sophomore status, in the nursing program at Wesley. This is a wonderful opportunity for those students who want to continue their education to become a Registered Nurse.

 

POLYTECH Adult Education graduates its Second Practical Nursing Class

 

A pinning and graduation ceremony was held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at the POLYTECH Adult Education Conference Center to honor graduates of its Practical Nursing program.

 

Family members, friends and faculty celebrated the accomplishments of the graduates, and wished them well as they embark on their nursing careers.

 

PN graduates included:   Linda Atherholt, Karen Bradley, Nicole Hellams, Kimberly Lane, Yong Yi Irvin, Annibell Monroe, Adelbert Onsomu, Ronda Parker, Roxanna Parrish, Pamela Pratt, Marylande Regis, Andrea Turpin, Tanya Van Gorder, Jennifer Wiley, Pan Yeung and Angeline Ziegler.

Several special awards were presented to the graduates, including Outstanding Academic Performance, "Caring Spirit" award and the "Spirit of Nursing" award.
