Electronic Systems Technician I

This course is required for the following programs:

First year EST students learn the basics of electrical theory alongside Electrical Construction program students and are provided with a foundational knowledge of electrical safety, theory, tools, blueprint reading, and wiring techniques. Students learn how to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC). Prerequisite: completion of Building Construction Core or recent (past three years) construction related employment and the ability to pass the BCC bypass exam.
