Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

Program Information

About Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician program is a new offering that was developed in collaboration with representatives of 14 different agricultural and construction employers and industry partners from across Delaware.

Our employer partners share a common concern over the lack of basic skills and knowledge needed to fill projected entry-level and skilled openings. In fact, each of the partners have indicated an immediate need for one or more new employees at differing levels of experience. Even when the economy slows, the demand for workers in this sector remains strong.

This program is designed to meet this industry demand and provide excellent career opportunities for highly motivated individuals who are willing to learn.

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician program is 576 hours in length and, while it takes approximately four years to complete, the intention is to get students to work immediately so they can earn while they learn.
