This program is 120 hours long and intended for English Language Learners who have recently, or hope to soon, advance into positions of greater responsibility. The program provides the knowledge and skills needed to be an effective leader in the workplace and covers the core competencies that are essential to the effective management of any organization. Areas covered include Computer Competency, Fundamentals of Leadership, Essential Communication Skills, Human Resources, and Management & Operations. At the end of the course, students are eligible to sit for the National Occupational Competency Technical Institute (NOCTI) General Management certification exam.
NOTE: Prior to the start of the program, students will be required to complete a two week study skills course. Grant funding may be available. Speak to Career Program Specialist for details.
