This course is one of the eight related training courses required to complete the four-year Welding/ Fabrication Apprenticeship program. Topics covered in this course include weld joint design, parts of a weld, weldability of metals, and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Welding gloves and safety gloves are available for purchase on the first night of class. Prerequisite: Welding/Metal Fabrication I.
